COMPETITION TEAMS EXCELL IN APRIL!!  Competition teams received seven superior ratings in events in a competition held April 4^th at Granger High School. Our Soloists also received superior ratings. Teams and Soloists followed that up with 8 first place ratings out of nine in a competition held at Hillcrest Junior High School in Murray on April 25^th.   GREAT WORK! Congratulations to our Axis dancers and instructors!

FALL REGISTRATION BEGINS SATURDAY, MAY 9^th  Doors will open at 9 am. We are offering some incredible Early Bird Special Pricing.

Axis Dance Center is giving away t-shirts to the first 150 students who register for fall classes on May 9th.  Our new schedule is out with some amazing new classes. Tumbling, Thursday Breakdancing and Guitar lessons will be taught this fall. Guitar lesson schedules are still to be announced. 

Students who register on May 9th:

• 3 classes get an additional family member single class for free!!  For an example: Brother’s breakdance class is free or Mom’s exercise class is free.

• 2 classes get an additional family member single class at 50% off.

• 1 class get an additional family member single class at 50% off 

All Guys: half price for any class - and any ballet class is free. 

Dance Scholarships: Axis Dance is offering scholarships to Guys who will tryout for our competition teams.  The scholarships are for the 3 required classes, ballet tech, jazz, and lyrical.  Registration, costume and competition fees will still need to be paid, but all tuition is scholarshipped..  That’s a major savings!!

Adult dance classes May discounts are dramatic for adult classes.  We are offering Fitness Cards for $50.00.  This allows you to drop in to any Adult class for the Amazing price of $5.00.  Regular price for the fitness card is $125.00.  This is a great savings for those who have schedule conflicts and need some flexibility in their dance routine

COMPETITION TEAM TRY-OUTS begin at 4:30 pm on Friday June 5^th.

Mini-Competitions Team Tryouts for 5-7 year olds are at 4:30.  Students who will be 5 during the school year are eligible to tryout for our Mini-Competition team. Their classes will be on Wednesday this fall.  They will need to take the 90 mini-competition class. Plus they have a choice of a tumbling or a hip hop class.  $10 fee for tryouts.

Competition Team Tryouts for 8+-18 years old  are at 5:00 pm. Anyone who will be 8 years old this next year or older is eligible to tryout.   We are looking for beginning, intermediate or advanced dancers.  These teams are required to take a ballet Technique class as well as a Jazz, and Lyrical class that they will compete in. There are many optional classes to compete in: Hip Hop, novelty, character Jazz. There are many other classes as well, for example: tumbling, acting or musical theater classes. $10.00 fee 

SUMMER CAMPS

It’s time to sign up for summer camps! Early Bird Registration will include a 10% discount before May 30.  

Mini Dance Camps: Theme Based Classes for 4-6 year olds (Princess day,  Beach party day, Teddy bear dance day)  Classes are Tuesday and Thursday and include a snack! Sessions have been added and time changed………..$50.00

Session 1 June 23, 25, 30 and July 2…… 4:30-6:00pm

Session 2 July 7, 9, 14 & 16. ……………4:30-6:00 pm

Session 3 July 21,23, 28, & 30 ………….4:30-6:00 pm

Weekly Dance Camps: Ballet, Jazz, and Lyrical technique classes with an optional choice of Hip Hop, Tap or Cheer/Tumbling. Classes run 9 am–3 pm, Monday–Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Lunch is not included for…… $150.00.

July 6-10th                   July 13-17th             July 27-31^st

Jazz technique only, July 7,9,14,16,28 & 30^th (Tuesday and Thursdays)….. $95.00

Summer Drama Camp: Acting classes will include monologues, scenes, improvisation, musical theater, theater combat, makeup and puppetry. Performance for parents on the last Friday class. Classes run 9 am—3 pm. $300.00

Session 1 Ages 12-16 June 22-July 3rd.

Session 2 Ages 7-12 July 6-17th

$25.00 will hold your place for summer camps and give you the discount.

One final note: Recital will be June 20^th at 4:30-6:30. This will be split into 2-one hour blocks.  Eastmont Middle School 1250 E. 9800 S.  Recital fees of $25 are due.
